Abstract :
The paper introduced the concept, development process of online self-test for intelligent instrument firstly. Then, the online self-test strategies are discussed in detail, which includes test strategy of CPU, memories, ADC/DAC and other functional components. At last, the strategies are applied into the design of a portable ARINC429 data bus analyzer. The test result indicates that the online test strategies discussed in valuable in improving the reliability and performance of intelligent instruments.
