Abstract :
This paper presents a CDMA mobile system performance analysis tools (CPAT) for network parameter planning. In real traffic distributed environment, the CPAT collects the radio link related data as well as handoff related messages, and analyzes the CDMA system performance. The mobile loopback call, which is recommended as a service option standard, is used for logging data during the system test. The analysis tools consist of the analysis data processor (ADP) and the statistical analysis tool (SAT). The ADP analyzes the radio link related performance such as frame error rate, cell received Eb/No of reverse link, as well as reverse link power control, etc. The SAT provides softer/soft/hard handoff statistics such as number of handoff and handoff duration per mobile station, and handoff statistics per cell
