Abstract
The paper describes the design of a piecewise-linear function approximation generator operating in current mode. The circuit is based on a resistive current divider whose gain is controlled by switching diodes. Relations for numerical design of element parameters are given. Example of an application as triangle to sine converter is shown. Computer modelling is used to verify the functionality of the circuit.
