Abstract :
The conventional Butterworth low pass filter exists the contradiction problems between test precision, stability and response time, so a kind of improved Butterworth low pass filter is put forth in this paper. Firstly nth order improved Butterworth low pass filter, whose n poles are chosen from poles of (n+2)th order Butterworth low pass filter, is deduced. Lastly, the improved Butterworth low pass filter is analyzed. Compared with the conventional Butterworth low pass filter of the same order, the improved Butterworth low pass filter has rapider response, smaller overshoot. This kind of filter can be used to enhance the test precision.
