Abstract :
The National Science Foundation, through the Division of Undergraduate Education, currently supports a number of projects and centers that focus on education and workforce development in microelectronics and semiconductor manufacturing. Unique elements of some of these projects and centers are presented, and include development of a national semiconductor manufacturing curriculum, a cross-training program for semiconductor manufacturing technicians and engineers, and web-accessible simulation tools for microelectronics and photonics
