Abstract :
A kind of short duration intracloud flash in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was researched. It mainly occurred when the charge structure changed. The characteristics of this kind lightning flashes are following. The duration time is less than 100ms and majority is from 30ms to 50ms. The transfer distance is from 1km to 3km. The initial radiation events propagated horizontally with speed of 6-8.5×104m/s, and then build a new discharge channel near the lightning starting point with speed of 1×105m/s or produce multiple branched channels. The sequence of unipolar pulse constitutes the electric field waveform.
