Abstract :
This paper investigates the design and implementation of different control schemes for a generation and motion system, which is characterized by the use of induction machines. Main applications are related with motion control in isolated power systems. Field acceleration method and feedback linearization control techniques of the motion system are presented. The control algorithm contains a nonlinear identification scheme that asymptotically tracks the true values of the rotor resistance. Computer simulation results show the robustness and superior dynamic performance of the control strategies developed in this work.
