Abstract :
This article presents numerical results for probe-fed section-spherical dielectric resonator antennas. In this study, the analysis is performed by using the finite-difference time-domain technique and the dielectric resonator antennas are made by high-dielectric-constant materials to achieve the low-profile feature. Numerical results for input impedance, radiation characteristics, and antenna gains are calculated. Also the curvature effect on the antenna characteristics is presented and discussed
