Abstract
Adaptive model tracking of a finite-dimensional model by an infinite-dimensional, linear, discrete-time system is shown to be possible here. Relationships between the Kalman-Yacubovic equations for discrete-time and strictly positive real transfer functions are proved and a Lyapunov stability analysis is carried out to show that convergent output tracking occurs
