Abstract :
Lightning´s invasion is the main lightning damage to traction substation. In traction substation feeder side, hen compound ways of lightning-proof reactor and arrester is different, influence to lightning overvoltage on electrical equipment is different either. Effect of lightning overvoltage on equipment was discussed in this paper. At first, circuit models about substation feeder side were made by using electro-magnetic transient simulation software. Research on relationships about installation methods and parameters of lightning-proof reactor to lightning current were found out by simulation. Then, Over-voltage waveforms on equipment have been contrastive analysis either traction substation feeder side have lightning-proof reactor or not. At last, lightning protection effect of lightning-proof reactor in different cases was obtained and suggestion on design was presented.
