Abstract :
In this paper, the descending orbit for fuel efficient soft landing on asteroid is researched, and an optimization method based on pseudo-spectral and Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) is proposed. Firstly, a mathematical description of the problem for the descending orbit in fuel optimal soft landing has been established. Secondly, the application of the pseudo-spectral method which is used to disperse this optimization problem into a nonlinear programming problem is given. Finally, a SQP method for solving nonlinear programming problems is adopted. The simulation results show that this method is a real and effective.
