Abstract :
A method of developing an A16/D16 register based VXIbus device, which is a C size mould and has one module multiple usages figure, is introduced. As a platform with plug-in boards, the interface circuits and the internal bus controlling circuits are integrated on the mother board. The functional circuits, controlled by the VXIbus commander through the internal bus, are implementing on wiring boards. The circuits on wiring board are usually used to implement the relatively unsophisticated circuit controlled by CPLD or "CPLD+MCU", such as switch controller, signal source and others. This mode can makes VXIbus devices been developed easier and improve cost performance ratio of VXIbus device.
