  • Abstract
A simulation model based on FEM (finite element method) is presented to analyze the impulse characteristic of grounding system under lightning stroke while considering soil parameters´ frequency dependence. Due to taking the variation of soil frequency-dependence parameters into account, the accuracy of calculation improves. The suggested model is validated by comparing the calculated results with experimental tests and simulations results found in literature.
