Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The author shows how it is possible to use systems engineering in education and apply it to the analysis and design of computer systems for process control and supervision. He introduces a framework and a systematic methodology based on a systems-engineering approach which can be used to form educational courses in this field. A design exercise is described, and experience gained with the proposed approach is summarized
