Abstract :
Interference rejection using a time-dependent adaptive filter (TDAF) combined with differential demodulation is investigated for π/4-DQPSK signal corrupted by Rayleigh faded multipath channel with co-channel interference. It is shown that the TDAF combined with differential decoding can achieve significant performance improvement over a time-independent Alter or the conventional matched filter receiver by exploiting the inherent spectral correlation of the signal. A reduced-complexity TDAF structure that is more suitable for practical implementation is also presented
