Applications of RQMS measurements at Siemens Stromberg-Carlson

Siemens Stromberg-Carlson (SCC) has been working with Bellcore and its customers to establish a reliability and quality measurements for telecommunications systems (RQMS) compliance plan. Discussions with customers have resulted in a prioritized list of desirable field performance measurements which can serve as the starting point for quality improvement of SSC products. RQMS implementation will require significant changes to SSC´s internal data collection and reporting procedures. A phased implementation plan is being considered which will provide measurements which identify field performance problems and stimulate the corrective action needed to improve product quality
