Abstract :
Delay line technique is used in OCDMA (optical code division multiple access) system for investigation of the interferometric noise in optical domain. The interferometric noises with the change of EXT, Deltaf (linewidth of the laser) and DeltaT (temperature change) are analysed in detail. The experiment results show that the interferometric noise produced by the variation of temperature of optical components brings the worst case for the OCDMA system, with this kind of noise the all optical CDMA can not be realized so far. The method using electronic en/decoding process to achieve CDMA in optical channel may be a promising choice which can provide a good performance with narrow bandwidth in optical access network.
