Abstract :
The paper first classifies the lightning protection zones, and then it analyzes the paths through which the lightning current is led into the residence when the tower is struck by lightning, including electromagnetic induction path and earth potential counterattack path. Finally, the paper proposes several protection measures to protect adjacent electrical residential appliances and persons based on calculation and analysis of the spatial magnetic field and the effect on nearby residents caused by earth potential counterattack, and they could significantly decrease the safety risk endured by electrical appliances and persons caused by the lightning, thus they could mitigate the complaints from residents against the communication operator, reduce the risk to withdraw the communication station by the operator, and improve the relationship between the operator and residents.
