  • Abstract
    It is difficult to develop a uniform lightning protection scheme for all radio base stations due to extensive distribution of these stations and complicated geographical and environmental situations they are in. The text has proposed a theoretic innovative technology in which the grounding network is taken as the basis, while the protection to main lightning introduction ports, protection to the overall base station and transient potential equalization are taken as the key parts, based on the analysis of main causes of lightning strike accidents with consideration of the practical situation.
