Abstract
With the development of technology, the expense of the hardware is lower than the software in the testing equipments. The aim of the paper is to present a method that can be used to build a rapid control prototyping for equipments at a low cost. It´s based on project Linux RTAI (Real-Time Application Interface),which includes advanced tools for the integration of Computer Aided Control System Design(CACSD)environment.Researchers designed a prototyping that collected data from friction testing machine GS-OlA.The prototyping kept in accord with testing machine. The data acquisition boards pci-6024e was integrated into project Scilab/Scicos using a tools called RTAI-Lab and drivers provided by project Comedi. Schemes were designed in Scicos to implement the real-time data acquisition and calculation, and then c code of schemes was generated. The code ran as a hard real-time task on x86 PC. The data were also plotted. The results showed curves of this method were more reasonable than others and can describe the real motion of the testing. The applications of this platform can range from testing to other industrial field.
