Abstract :
A good number of radiators and conductors enrich a range environment. The radiators are emitting different frequency spectra in different power ranges. Also sources of high electric field gradient such as chokes and transformers interfere and lead to the corruption of data/voice in the range due to interharmonic distortion. The paper highlights the determination of threshold level through a series of experiments (using two interconnected modems) and practical observations (which pertain to data/voice cables used in the range). Suggestions are made regarding the peripheral conditions which are detrimental to signal flow. Case studies have been undertaken to alleviate interference to audio range signals, highlighting EMI control and mitigation techniques to achieve EMC
