Abstract
In this paper, the electrical properties of four metallocene-catalyzed polyethylenes (LDPE-m) are compared with those of a conventional high-pressure low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Electrical conduction measurements and AC breakdown (ACBD) tests were performed at room temperature. These preliminary results do not show much improvement of the LDPE-m compared with the conventional LDPE, which is due to their respective physical properties.
