Abstract :
In the submitted research was probed a cutoff frequency shift for fundamental mode of a round lightguide with complicate refractive index profile and negative profile volume. The analysis of a electrodynamic characteristics of round lightguide is used for calculation by the stratification method. The dependence of a cutoff frequency shift of the HE11 and TE01-modes from profile parameters is explored. The influence of the index profile shape on a single-mode range is appreciated. The W-similar profile and profile with two depressed layers were analysed.
