Abstract :
A new approach to schedule batch process using a cooperative multi-agent system was proposed. The architecture of the system was developed and the cooperative problem solving process for online batch process scheduling using the multi-agent system was described. Finally, a practical application of the system was present. Research work shows that the proposed method can find an optimal scheduling plan according to the requirements posed by customer and can modify the scheduling plan online.
