Abstract :
The grey incidence model occupies an important position in grey system theory. This paper studies the method about determining the discrimination coefficient ζ of Prof Deng´s degree of grey incidence based on maximizing deviations. Additionally, the genetic algorithm is employed to solve the discrimination coefficient ζ. The comparison of results of the two methods shows the effectiveness of the maximizing deviations method for determining the discrimination coefficient ζ.
