Abstract :
The precision of pulsed laser rangefinder directly depends on the ability to measure the time-of-flight (TOF) interval of pulse laser. This paper proposes a new method to improve the precision of distance measurement based on self-triggering pulsed technique, adopting a professional time-to-digital conversion (TDC) chip and reducing the complexity of the system. In addition, by comparison with the traditional methods, this method can achieve higher precision and has good stability, which is suitable for high performance pulsed laser rangefinder.
