Energy efficiency and Enel Distribuzione S.p.A.

Sustainable energy is a central element of an integrated approach to corporate social responsibility currently being developed by Enel and all its Business Divisions. Sustainable strategy means many social actions from which energy efficiency programs are one of the most important. In fact Energy Efficiency helps to combat the climate change, reducing the need to burn fossil fuels and therefore associated emissions of green house gases, as well as helping households, who can´t afford to heat their homes adequately to fight fuel poverty. Energy efficiency means reducing energy consumption without reducing the use of energy-consuming plant and equipment. The aim is to make better use of energy.
