New approach of electrical distribution inspections routines using mobile technology

This paper describes a computational system based on mobile computing to help inspections routines, replacing maps, schematics diagrams and others paper-based sources of information for an application with graphical capability. This application provides geo-referenced graphical representations of the network linked with the necessary equipment information, giving to the electrician an easy way to indicate the network conditions in a pen-based PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).
