Abstract :
ߦ Two coasting approaches have been studied using simulation and real life speed trials. ߦ Motoring energy saving is achievable for all the coasting control algorithms presented. ߦ No significant impact to service operations. ߦ Other benefits such as helping to relief traction motor duty.
