Abstract :
A metric formula and its application in decision-making is proposed for the uncertainty measurement of grey information theory. Because of the limited interval grey number sequence, the grey sequence entropy measurement is different from Shannon probability entropy. This paper studies the measurement formula with grey number and its several properties, such as invariance, applicable conditions, grey entropy of the union and intersection of two grey numbers. Finally, an example is given with an algorithm to illustrate how this new method can be applied and show the effective.
