Abstract :
Numerical modelling of influence of the parameters of treeing emerging in polyethylene insulation upon high voltage stress has been performed. The stochastic model of treeing development, based on the electric field (EF) calculations and usage of the experimental data has been described. It allows simulation of the observed in the experiments treeing form modification in dependence on the applied voltage level.
