  • Abstract
Signal-aliasing is a common distortion in high-speed video sampling system. To avoid that, this paper presents a design of a fourth-order active anti-aliasing filter using high speed dual operational amplifier, which can be placed in a tiny PCB (printed circuit board). An optimal design of this filter is introduced as well. Results show that the designed filter offers good flatness of frequency response, good effects of stopband rejection, high differential gain and high differential phase, and almost no peaking occurs within video frequency range. In addition, this filter operates well with 100 Omega source impedance. Finally this paper ends with discussions on how to choose operational amplifiers based on practical application, how to choose capacitance and resistance, how to eliminate oscillation and on how to layout.
