Abstract :
Some aspects of terminological correctness of the traditional term "pyramid horn antennas" that is widely used in antenna engineering are discussed. Performed analysis allows making a conclusion that "obelisk horn antennas" is a more correct term for the description of this type of antennas. As an example, this term is applied to the design and experimental research of linearly polarized horn antennas excited by a section of the inhomogeneous waveguide.
