Abstract :
In the present paper an array antenna is implemented similar to polyphase filters. This type of antenna implementation is shown to reduce the antenna element mutual coupling effect on the array. In an antenna arrangement where the beam properties are controlled from the baseband, the polyphase antenna requires a reduced number of amplifiers than a conventional array antenna configuration.
