Abstract
An integrated PLL based on NMOS technology is designed and its chaotic characteristics are carefully analyzed and modeled. We found that the differential equation of the PLL is a second-order non-Hamiltonian and nonautonomous system which is then analyzed using Melnikov´s method. A set of conditions for the determination the existence of chaos is worked out. These conditions agree very well with the SPICE simulation results
