Abstract
It is stated that ergonomic evaluation should be an integral part of nuclear power plant control room design. The merits and drawbacks of performing such an evaluation at certain moments in the design process and the various evaluation aids available are discussed. A general ergonomic evaluation method for the control room is proposed.<>
