Abstract :
The Vibrating Beam Accelerometer (VBA) performances are limited by phase noise. First a phase noise model of the VBA is presented and leads to an analytical expression of the acceleration noise. Phase noise measurements are then performed on the VIA accelerometer developed at ONERA and validate the model. Design rules for a high performances VBA are then discussed in the last section.
