Abstract :
A methodology for assessing ergonomic deficiencies in power plants that was developed in the US has been applied to Mosenergo´s Plant 26 in Russia. A number of excellent plant features are observed, but significant problems are recorded in the areas of illumination, labeling, control room layout and instrumentation, procedures and manuals, tools, seating, rest room facilities, and safety. It is concluded that this methodology is readily transferable to power plants throughout the world.<>
