Abstract :
This paper discusses the integrated design of optimal controller and medium access scheduling policy for networked control systems with communication constraints, which means that sensors and actuators are allowed only limited access to the remote controller simultaneously. The joint design problem is solved in three steps: Firstly, an optimal controller is proposed based on optimization theory that quadratically stabilize the original networked control system. Secondly, networked control system is modeled as a switched system whose input and output matrixes vary with medium access constraints. Thirdly, we establish a feedback-based communication scheduling policy at both sides while guaranteeing the stability of the closed-loop system. And finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the advantage of the proposed approach.
