Abstract :
There is much discussion on devices for signal processing based on novel architectures for 3G base stations. The paper discusses how parallel architectures can be applied to demanding signal processing systems, based around the case-study of a real design of a 64 channel 3G (WCDMA) base station. It also considers the "total cost" of such a development.
