Abstract :
This paper describes a new fabrication method of polymer-based thin-film microelectrode arrays with clean platinum electrode surface for electrochemical biosensors. Effective fabrication process is developed so that electrodes can be applied for biosensors with no electrochemical pretreatment. The platinum surface was investigated by Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and its electrochemical property is characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 0.1M H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/. Glucose oxidase is electropolymerized onto the electrode and the response of the electrode to glucose is checked.
