Abstract :
Most of the IF filters that are at the transition from RF to digital stage have to handle differential impedances at the output and single ended at the input for optimum performance. A Band pass filter designed and realized on thin film substrates which uses chip capacitor loaded coupled microstrip line resonators. The filter can be reconfigured for varying bandwidth and operating frequency by manipulating the capacitor values. For a 1 GHz bandwidth filter the size can be as small as 3mm×1mm covering from 400MHz to 5GHz.
