Abstract
Circuit simulation is an increasingly important aspect of crystal oscillator design as improvements in computer software and hardware are realized. At design time, simulations largely replace breadboards and thus facilitate the development of a robust design. This paper describes simulations that are designed to reveal several unusual characteristics of crystal oscillators.
