Profiling customers within the framework of the 1 July 2004 market deregulation: Description and performance of the system

Since the deregulation of the French electricity market 1/7/2004, the French distribution system operators have to calculate the levels of power injected and drawn off by all customers of each supplier in half hour steps. Most of the customers connected to a distribution grid do not have a meter capable of measuring the demand curve. Such customers should be profiled, that is, modelled using a standard curve.
