Abstract :
This paper proposes the control method of five-axes active magnetic bearings (AMBs). The proposed methods provide systematic design of mode selection and mode distribution matrices. In addition, these matrices are set based on the rotor´s center of gravity and magnetic force coefficient of electromagnets. Experimental results of step response for AMBs show effects of the proposed methods.
