Abstract
In this paper Genetic Algorithms (GAs) are used to search sub-optimal fading-resistant constellations. The results show that the use of genetic algorithms is profitable in two aspects. The first is less time expensive and, second, the constellations generated reveal better performance when compared in terms of a figure of merit defined for Rayleigh channels
