Research of A Monitoring System for the Intelligent and Efficient Automated Handling Container Terminal

Abstract :
With the high speed development of international shipping business, it was an important matter how to meet the requirement for the fast handling of large-size vessels and terminals. In this paper, the Intelligent and Efficient Automated Handling Container Terminal (IEAHCT) was regarded as the study object, and the field-bus technology (PROFIBUS-DP for MICREX-SX series) was adopted to build monitoring system for the IEAHCT. PROFIBUS-DP was a kind of the field-bus control system, was communication medium of master station (MICREX-SX series PLC) and slave stations (MICREX-SX series PLC). The data communication programs for IEAHCT had been worked out which makes it possible to monitor and control the IEAHCT effectively.
