Abstract :
With the application of IT in the field of electric power system, computer aided electric power system design and analysis software has played an important role in electric power system research and teaching. With the pragmatic feature of power system analysis and Powergui capabilities of Matlab, it is presented to introduce the Powergui into electric power engineering class. By means of the graphics and interaction of Powergui, an example is provided which can not only visualize abstract theory, but also make students acquire the more practical knowledge. At the same time some complicated problems associated with actual engineering is designed, which can improve the ability of student to analyze the actual engineering.
