Abstract :
Part of Grumman´s approach to meeting the avionics objectives of the next century is to develop the Adaptive Multiprocessing System (AMPS) in concert with their partner, Computing Devices International (CDI). The AMPS is a smart, heterogeneous, super-efficient, open signal processing architecture supported by a graphical signal flowgraph software development system. The unique AMPS architecture is a high-performance, modular, super chip (up to 37 per node) parallel processor designed for computationally intensive real-time military and commercial applications. The AMPS is designed around commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) digital signal processing components and features a simultaneous combination of discriminating performance attributes
