Abstract :
An optimization method is used to choose a filter which meets design specifications given in the frequency domain. The quality criterion consists of two integrals taken from: square of amplitude deviation and square of magnitude of transfer function deviation. The optimization methods make it possible to design a wide class of digital filters, particularly with nontypical or more complicated characteristics. The algorithm for filter design was implemented in the Windows environment and is destined to design recursive digital filters for image processing
